FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about this tool, image formats, and privacy.

Which files and dimensions are supported?

Use JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 25 MB each. Input images and the final result are limited to 8,000 pixels per side and 32 million pixels in total. The downloaded result is a PNG copy; your originals are unchanged.

What does the corner rounding percentage mean?

It sets the corner radius as a percentage of half the shorter image side. At 0% the corners stay square; at 100% the radius is as large as it can be. The image width and height do not change.

How do I keep the rounded corners transparent?

Leave Transparent background selected and download the PNG. The removed corners and existing transparent areas stay transparent. An image viewer may show transparency on white or another colour; check on a different background if needed.

How do I add a background colour?

Turn off Transparent background, then choose a colour. It fills the removed corners and any existing transparent areas. It does not replace an opaque background already in the picture or cut out the subject.

Can I make a circle or round just one corner?

At 100%, a square image becomes circular and a rectangular image becomes pill-shaped. Crop to a square first if you need a circle. This tool rounds all four corners equally; individual corner settings are not available.

Why is the download a PNG?

PNG preserves transparency and avoids another round of lossy compression. It can be larger than the original JPG and cannot restore detail already lost. Keep the original and inspect the downloaded copy before using it.

Will my original image be changed?

No. The tool edits a copy in your browser. Download the result as a new file and keep your original.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Processing happens locally in your browser.
