Answers about product image sizes, spacing, backgrounds and batch exports.
How do I prepare several product images at once?
Choose up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP images, up to 25 MB each. Set a shared canvas and export settings, then crop or position individual images as needed. Check the grid and download the images in one step.
What dimensions should my product images have?
Choose dimensions that suit your store’s theme, product gallery and zoom. The default 1600 × 1600 px canvas is a starting point, not a requirement for every store. A larger canvas cannot recover detail missing from a small source image.
How does the margin setting work?
The margin is the minimum space between the cropped image and each canvas edge. On a 1600 × 1600 px canvas, 5% leaves at least 80 px on every side. Space already inside the image remains unless you crop it out.
Will small images be enlarged?
Not by default: small images retain their pixel dimensions. You can reposition them or enable enlargement to fill more space. A warning appears when the cropped source is enlarged. Enlargement can soften details and cannot recover missing information.
Does the tool remove backgrounds or detect the product?
There is no automatic background removal or product detection. The background color fills added space and transparent areas; it does not replace the photographed background. Manual cropping removes rectangular areas at the image edges.
Should I choose JPG, PNG or WebP?
JPG is a practical option for photos when transparency is unnecessary. WebP offers lossy compression and optional transparency if your destination accepts it. PNG supports transparency but may produce larger files. The quality slider affects JPG and WebP exports, not PNG.
Why is the exported file larger, and can I set a size limit?
A larger canvas or a different format can increase file size. Lower JPG/WebP quality or smaller dimensions may help. This tool’s quality slider does not guarantee a specific KB or MB limit; use the target file size tool when you need one.
How do I download the finished images?
Click Download to create the files and start the download. One image downloads directly; multiple images download as a ZIP. Only successfully processed images are included. Individual download links appear after export. You can add or remove images without replacing the batch. After edits, Download creates updated files.
Are the originals and their metadata preserved?
Your original files stay unchanged. Exported copies do not retain the original EXIF or IPTC metadata. If you need copyright information or AI provenance labels for publication, preserve or restore those separately before uploading the copies.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Processing happens locally in your browser.
