Privacy Policy

1. Processing your images

The image tools process selected files locally in your browser. Pixilo’s processing code does not upload your images to our server or a conversion service. Previews and downloads are created on your device. Keep your original files and inspect the downloaded copy.

Local image processing does not mean the website makes no network requests. The browser loads the site’s pages, fonts, scripts and, where shown, the partner banner image.

2. Browser storage

Pixilo saves your light or dark theme preference in your browser’s localStorage. This setting stays on your device and is not sent to Pixilo. Pixilo does not provide user accounts.

When you use the result’s Edit menu to continue in another tool, Pixilo stores the prepared image, filename, destination and expiry time in IndexedDB, a local browser database. The next tool reads and deletes the transfer record. A transfer is valid for 15 minutes; this is not an automatic deletion timer. A record that is never read can remain until a later transfer removes expired records or you clear the site’s data. These image records are not uploaded to Pixilo.

You can remove saved preferences and pending transfers through your browser’s site-data settings. Closing a tab does not necessarily clear local storage. Active editing pages can hold working images, and downloaded files remain separately on your device. Finish your work and close editing tabs before clearing site data; manage originals and downloads in your device’s folders.

3. Hosting and technical requests

Our hosting provider receives technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, requested URL and browser details. This is separate from the image files you select for processing. The image tools do not send those files with page requests.

4. Partner advertising and external links

Pixilo displays clearly marked advertisements and partner links. We may receive a commission for qualifying purchases made through these links. When a banner image is loaded from an external provider, that provider receives an image request, including your IP address and browser information. Your selected image files are not included in that request.

Clicking an advertisement or partner link takes you to an external website. These providers handle visits, technical usage data and any cookies or tracking technologies under their own privacy policies. Review the linked service’s privacy policy before using it.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and site use only with your consent. The Google tag loads after you allow analytics. If you decline, the tag does not load and no analytics requests are sent to Google. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this implementation.

Information sent to Google includes the visited page address without query parameters or fragments, the page title, the referring domain and any UTM campaign labels. Network requests also disclose technical information to Google, including the IP address and browser information. Images, local filenames and image metadata are not sent to analytics. With your consent, we also record when processing starts, produces a result, initiates a download or encounters an error. These events identify the tool used; they do not include error messages or information about your images. Do not put personal information in campaign labels.

Analytics can use _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browsers and visits. Their lifetime is limited to 180 days in this implementation. Retention of data in Google’s service is determined by the Analytics property settings. Google explains how it uses information from partner sites.

Your consent preference is saved in this browser’s localStorage for up to 180 days. The record contains your choice, time, language, measurement ID, notice version and the information presented with the choice. It is used to remember consent, not to track visits. You can change your choice or withdraw consent through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal prevents new measurement transmissions and deletes this site’s Analytics cookies. It does not delete information already sent to Google or interrupt your image editing.

You can remove saved site data, including the theme preference and pending image transfers, and manage cookies through your browser. Requests about data held by an external service provider should be directed to that provider. Where applicable, data protection law gives you rights concerning personal data, including access, correction and deletion, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. The European Commission explains these rights.

7. Changes

Changes to this notice will appear on this page with an updated date.
